I cannot believe how fast the month of June is flying by! It's damp here in Minnesota. Thankfully, we have not been affected by the flooding where I live, but the waters are high and I did have to change my running route due to the trail being covered by water. The Write Click Scrapbook July gallery sneak involves a peek at a page I made about our similarly damp June trip last year:

I remember this hike well: lots of puddles we had to skirt around! But some amazing sights. I wonder if you can guess next month's theme?

April sneak for Write Click Scrapbook

After all our snow/cold days this winter, we had some days taken away from us to add back into the calendar. In particular, mark reporting day became an instructional day. Before this year I never noticed how vital that day was in wrapping up the term and getting ready for the next. Whew!

Now that papers are graded and grades are submitted and the term is well under way, I look forward to having my days regain their normal rhythm--which includes scrapbooking and blogging about it!

A mini sneak for Write Click Scrapbook

Another day, another snow day. This has turned into quite the winter here in Minnesota and all over the U.S. March approaches, which is technically spring, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up; after all, it did snow in May last year.

March at Write Click Scrapbook means mini albums! I had so much fun making mine, and I can't wait to share it on March 1st. On this day off, I took a moment to take a photo of my mini just to give you a glimpse of what I made.

You can see the title, so you have a pretty good idea for what my mini is about. I'm hiding the inside, though; you'll have to wait until March to see what exactly this album contains!

In the winter, I love scrapbooking with color. I used as much of it as I could with this mini. Fanning the mini out like this brought a little rainbow into my house, which is nice since the outdoors in Minnesota is drenched in blizzard white.

The month of December ran away from me. Between basketball for my son and black belt test for my other son and preparing for Christmas concerts for the whole family and grading and shopping and so on and so on, I had very little time to scrapbook. I did do a post at Write Click Scrapbook today--go over and get ideas for recording December without doing December Daily.

Write Click Scrapbook November sneak!

It's the 20th, so it's time to share a bitty sneak of my Write Click Scrapbook's November gallery layout! Here are a few shots:

The color combo I used I LOVED. The bright colors made me so happy. I had originally used a doily to back the photos of me, but I'm not really a doily person, so they looked kind of funny on a page about me. I swapped it out for some Crate Paper acetate frames. Those two red dots are hiding a secret--I'd cut the blue strip too much and had to add the lopped off part again; the dots hide the seam. And if you look closely, bits and pieces in the first two sneaks give away the theme.

I'm not sure if you can tell the theme from this--I'm showing quite a bit of it, so you might be able to guess. This page was one that came together pretty quickly--as soon as I saw the theme, I knew what I wanted to scrap. I hope you get that same inspiration!

This title block was a lot of fun to make, you can get a hint of the photo and what it's about, and the title itself gives a big hint as to the topic. Not sure if you can guess the gallery's theme from my sneak, but the topic was really interesting and inspiring for me.

Write Click Scrapbook July sneak

The theme for this next month's gallery at Write Click Scrapbook gave me lots of room to play creatively. Here's a sneak of what I did:

You'll notice circles and stitching and chipboard numbers. I misted the numbers with a grey mist. You can probably take a guess as to the gallery's theme by checking out the journaling that is visible.

Write Click Scrapbook sneaks!

I loved the page I made for June's Write Click Scrapbook gallery. The prompt was totally inspiring, and I was happy that the idea that formed in my head turned out pretty much exactly like I imagined it. believe me, that happens rarely. Often in this creative process, I end up saying, "How can I cover that up and make the page still look good?"

Here's the sneaks:

I tried a technique that I rarely do, which is fairly surprising, considering what I have in my stash. I'm curious to know if you can guess the technique I'm talking about?

Write Click Scrapbook May sneak!

This has been a busy month. My husband traveled to Idaho to help his dad prepare to move to assisted living, and I've been a single mom for the past three weeks. That alone is stressful, but add on top of that snow on top of snow, including the snow day we got yesterday (It's April, Mother Nature! April!), and I am beat. Whoosh.

I've managed to sneak some scrapping in a bit every day after the boys go to bed--it's how I maintain--but I had to relinquish jogging (I just couldn't bring myself to jog through snowwater at the side of the roads) and updating my blog or galleries. Here's a sneak of what I did these past few weeks:

This is a bit of a page that reflects on this past month. The page made me happy because of the colors, mostly, but also to relive the goofy, happy days of this past month. That said, I am SO happy that Derick is finally coming home this weekend. Even though we got almost a foot of snow yesterday and almost two feet of snow while he was gone, it feels like Spring is here. Complete and utter joy.

This first sneak is the best one to show what the April Gallery's theme is: can you guess it?

 

This sneak shows a cluster of embellishments near the title--the ticket says "needing," in case you can't read it (my friend Janet told me it looked like "weeding," LOL!).

The final sneak, including an older photo of me, standing in front of our now-gone crab apple (a freak July windstorm took it). I wanted to show how I used the geotags as photo turns, and the cut-out vegetable tags from October Afternoon Farm Girl. I bought the paper, thinking to use it to scrap my sidewalk contaner garden this summer, but I put it to a different use on this page.

Write Click Scrapbook February sneak

I spent hours yesterday editing photos and writing my last CHA blog post--and for some reason, even though I saved along the way, when I clicked publish, it disappeared. I'll rewrite it and get it up tomorrow, after I give the computer a good scolding with some choice words. It was a good post--worth the wait!

Instead, I'd like to share a sneak of my page for the Write Click Scrapbook February gallery:

The topic was one that I love to scrap, and through it I've scrapped some of my favorite pages. I enjoyed searching my mind for something I hadn't scrapped yet that fit. I used photos my friend Jennifer from Junglefish Photography took of Dominic last year. I also used Studio Calico's December kit, along with vellum--vellum!--from Darling Dear. And I cross-stitched, of course.

Write Click Scrapbook sneak!

With the days rapidly winding down to Christmas, I'm busy busy busy. One more day at work this week (ugly sweater day) and then time to finish shopping, see the Hobbit, go to church, then sled.

In a little over a week the new Write Click Scrapbook gallery goes live! Here's a sneak of what I made:

This was an unusual page for me to make. I'll talk about why when the gallery goes live. I will give you a hint about theme: the feather, which looks like a quill, was the perfect accent!

Enjoy the evening, and may it be warmer where you are than it is here--I went jogging in wind chill that made it feel like 6 degrees. I need a face mask for running.

December WCS gallery sneak!

December is almost upon us, and so is the next Write Click Scrapbook gallery! The prompt for next month made me very excited; it's one I do every year around this time. And I had so much fun making the page--I just smiled so big when I made the page! Here's a sneak:

The sticker comes from the boys' Lego Club meeting last month; I've collected them from every meeting and never done anything with them. That changed this month! L\I also had lots of fun playing with the Oh, Sn@p! Collection from Simple Stories, which was so bright and fun to use, perfect as the days are getting shorter and darker. But not colder: it could be 70 degrees this Wednesday. Mind. Blown.
