My task was to scrap the everyday. The obvious way to do this is with Project Life, but I don't do PL. All the selling points for it--keep track of your everyday (I already do that), make scrapbooking easier (It's easy for me), not fall behind (I'm not behind)--don't apply to me. I made a page detailing my transition from school year to summer. You can read about my creation process here.
Here's the layout:
I mostly used Memories Captured for this page, a perfect collection for Project Life or for scrapping the everyday. I thought the colors looks a little like summer sherbet, so they worked very well.
Here's the details:
I stitched in between each block, just to add some texture, and I inked the journaling strips to make them stand out more.
The ephemera collection is one of my favorite embellishments EVER. Love it.
I like using stickers on top of dimensional stickers to add some dimension (obviously) to the page; I first de-sticker them with my embossing buddy then overlap them onto a flat design.
Thanks for looking at my page! Tomorrow I start to share some of the pages I made at my retreat and finished at home.
