National Scrapbooking Day

I wasn't able to spend all day yesterday scrapping--I went to a baby shower for a friend and then drove through horrible rain to pick up my boys after they saw the Avengers with Dad, who was then playing games with friends. Still, I finished off a few pages today that I started yesterday. Here they are:

This one is one of my Things pages for the class Twelve. I do not covet shoes, which may make me somewhat unusual for a girl.

I love this little cluster of stuff. I used bits from the kit Story Hour at Studio Calico, plus pieces from my stash. Something I like to do: I use my embossing buddy to cover the sticky part of stickers, then adhere them to the page with dimensional adhesive.

This page I used a sketch for from Studio Calico. I recorded a little moment my son and my grandmother had this past winter. Again, I used the Story Hour kit.

I haven't really known what to do with these photos, but I got an idea from all the challenges floating around on NSD. I stamped the journaling, which I'm still  not sure about--I really do like handwriting the journaling!--but the title and journaling immediately came into my brain when I saw the letter stamp challenge at Studio Calico.

I also used confetti as a part of the challenge. I added stitching just because.

Finally, I made this page, which has been in my brain for a while. It's journaling heavy, which is unusual for me. You can click on the page to read it; I'm revisiting some of my early TV shows and drawing a connection to today.

To paper piece the TV, I  found an image online, copied it to a Word document, enlarged it, then cut it out and used it as a tracing template. For the whole page, I was going for a retro look, with sharp shapes, color combo from the past, and retro images (the TV and asterisks). It's not a typical page for me, but I had a lot of fun making it. So I put it in the Fun category of pages for the class Twelve.

Your pages are always so incredibly meaningful! Well, there's something else we have in common, lack of love for and actual shoes :)

That TV page is super duper cool! love that design!

Hello from another non-lover of shoes (non-shoe lover). For me, it's just Dansko's in the fall and spring, boots in the winter, and a pair of Sandals in the summer.
