National Scrapbooking Day

Doing my part to help the local economy, I went shopping at The Scrapbook Shop in Blaine today, then came home for some serious scrapping. Studio Calico has great challenges, so I worked on those. Here's what I did:

This was a sketch challenge. Nice, because I've had these photos for a while.

This challenge was for punches. I punched a photo, a product (sticker and the packing card that came with my kit), and PP ( the scallop border).

This was a product challenge. I used 4 kinds of PP, brads, a Studio Calico stamp, and mist.

I put together a lot of challenges for this one. I lifted an ad (it had a bunch of green hexagons at the top), I scrapped my opposite (pink, plus lots of STUFF!), scrapped my (new) avatar, and layered flowers. Oddly, I like this.

Here I scrapped an old photo with lots of white space plus a little hybrid (the journaling spot). I made the "Me" by cutting the "Ho" out of "Home." There's a joke there that I won't go any farther with...

This challenge was to lift myself. Here's the page I lifted from:

I made the first layout for my MIL for Mother's Day.

The fun of challenges is stretching myself. Some of my typical stuff, but some new stuff too. What fun!

Love the last three especially. (I commented on one over at the LOAD flickr group.)
I saw that a couple of the WSC collective scraplifted you. Yay you! Not surprising since your LOs are so fabulous.
