October Afternoon Warehouse Sale (and a giveaway!)

Like most people in the scrapbooking universe, I have been a big fan of October Afternoon for a while. No matter what the line, I love it. Here's a page I made a month or so ago using an upcoming line, Sasparilla, to document our Road Trip out West this past summer:

(Most photos from my iPhone using Instagram.)

How delighted was I last year when I found out that their warehouse was in Minnesota and they were having a sale. That was a Mother's Day present I gave to myself.

A week ago, the universe put itself in perfect alignment: OA announced another warehouse sale, and I had the day off from work, as did my scrapping buddies, the Scrapping J's, Jennifer, Janet, me, and Sandra. (Her nickname is Jo-Sandra so she can fit in, LOL!) We went down and saw a line-up to get into the warehouse:

Darn fire code limited the number of people inside.

There were some new products since the last sale and some new pricing on old stuff, so we went to town (well, at least I did). The wait to check out was long, but that's known as a photo op for scrapbookers:

I withstood the cashiers' pushing me to spend a little more to get the Boarding Pass paper pack (I already had it, but I can't believe I had the restraint!). Here we were outside with our loot:

I had so much fun I want to share:

Here's some papers, stickers, and a mini-album that I got. If you would like to be entered for a chance to win it, please leave a comment on this blog post, telling me what you like to do on an October Afternoon. You have until Sunday, October 30 at 8 P.M. CST to comment.

  3. I'm pretty jealous too! How great to be able to just go down to the warehouse in person! I have to rely on my LSS to get any OA stuff and that's a 45 minute drive away... But you look pretty happy so it must have been a fun day for you! I love this time of year and a walk outside in the Autumn sunshine is high on the list or on a bad day, just here in my room, scrapping and blog hopping! Thanks for the chance to win and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

  6. It looks like you had a great time; what fun! The humidity has finally gone down at this time of year so the perfect October afternoon would involve strolling through the park with my husband, people watching and photo taking in the sunshine. Then going home to scrap the pics! :)

  14. So fun! I'm not sure I could have shown any restraint. Only EP would have topped an OA warehouse sale for me!

The last several October afternoons have been spent surfing the Web for ideas for a big upcoming birthday party - my son turns two, and my DH 40 on the same day next month! This afternoon will be spent at DD's soccer game. 4-year-old soccer is pretty darned fun!

    Thanks for the giveaway!!
